Erin Axton Ryggs, LCSW
Hi, I’m Erin!
Since the beginning of my career, I have focused on empowering and supporting youth, young adults and families as they face a variety of challenges. I have worked with children and youth to help them develop healthy self-regulation skills, communication skills and stronger and more positive relationships with the trusted adults in their lives. I have also worked with youth and young adults as they explore questions around identity, belonging, adulthood and taking steps towards the future they envision for themselves. I am passionate about helping children and youth develop self worth and find joy in their lives.
I utilize a person-centered approach and incorporate aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy and mindfulness practices to best meet the clients need.
As a therapist, my hope is to walk along side my clients as they find the path towards harmony, self-worth, fulfillment and purpose in their lives.
Spending time in nature helps me recharge my battery, whether I’m camping, hiking or snorkeling. I also enjoy watching a good historical drama.
What I’m working Towards
I’m hoping to improve my roller skating skills, and maybe even learn to roller skate backwards!
